HIGHER HOOPS WINS AT ROSE CITY SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT

Spokane’s Higher Hoops U14 Boys Basketball Team won the Adidas Rose City Showcase Tournament on June 18 in Portland. The tournament features some of the top AAU teams in the country and the Higher Hoops boys beat the United Celtics of North Carolina in the finals. The team will travel to Las Vegas to compete at the Vision Sports National Championships in late July. Higher Hoops is coached by Darcy Wiesner and Tim Nicholas of Spokane.

A boys team was selected beginning in the summer of 2005 from basketball players in the Spokane area who exemplify great talent and personal character. In a very short period of time, these players have developed into one of the best AAU teams in the Pacific Northwest. Great Job Higher Hoops!
