JOHN REED


John Reed

Founder,
Executive Director

A proven leader with a heart for kids, John has a vision for creating a place in Higher Hoops where athletes can apply themselves to reach dreams and succeed at finding their potential. Reed's rare combination of humor, intensity, genuine spirit and high expectations create an atmosphere where students want to achieve. Reed has coached and was president of the largest basketball organization in the USA. A national consultant in leadership and management, Reed has over 15 years of experience at the vice-president level with colleges and universities. Because of this background, Higher Hoops focuses students on academic performance and offers a "College Pathway" seminar assisting students with their college planning. John and his wife, Alisa, have two children, Taylor 17 and Jamie 14.

DRAKE CHARLES




Associate
Director

Drake Charles is the Director of the Rancho Sports Center in Temecula, California, just north of San Diego, and directs all Higher Hoops programs in Southern California. Drake is a gifted speaker, graphic designer, leader and excellent teacher of the game. Drake directs a Higher Hoops staff which offer camps, clinics, leagues, and sports performance training year round. Drake and his wife, Betsy, live in Fallbrook.

STACY CLINESMITH




Master Instructor


Stacy is perhaps the greatest women basketball player ever to play in the state of Washington. Stacy has achieved at the highest level --  in high school ( all state, player of the year and two state title from Mead), for University of California Santa Barbara, (three time, all Big West, first team selection) and five year career in the WBA with Sacramento, Detroit, and Seattle. Stacy is a certified performance trainer and conducts speed training and ball handling at Higher Hoops camps and basketball schools.

JULIANN LANEY




Master Instructor


Juliann Laney was born and raised 40 miles west of Spokane on her
family's wheat farm. Knowing at a young age she wanted to pursue basketball at the collegiate level, Juliann decided to attend Gonzaga Prep High School in Spokane in hopes of being recruited. While at G-Prep, Juliann received 3
Greater Spokane League (GSL) First Team Awards as well as 1 Honorable
Mention. She became Gonzaga Prep's leader in scoring, assists, and
rebounds. Juliann is also the second leading scorer in GSL girl's basketball history. She received a full scholarship to Gonzaga University and helped her team accomplish 3 conference titles. Juliann
is currently working at Rockwood Clinic in the Sports Performance Program, coaches basketball at Gonzaga Prep, and is pursuing her Master's in Counseling from Gonzaga University.

Aaron Holsigner
Former director of NBC Camps Varsity Academy. Education and Athletic Director, EX3 Teen Center, Federal Way, Washington

Thomas Lowery
Former  NAIA All-American played six years on the All-Marine Basketball Team, one year on the All-Service Military Team, and two years at San Jose State University and Christian Heritage. Thomas works at Rancho Sports Center and Higher Hoops California 

Shawn Stroud
Point guard for Point Loma Nazarene College 2-time national champion. Shawn works at Rancho Sports Center and Higher Hoops California
