ADVANCED CAMP / July 7-10

Higher Hoops Advanced Camp is for experienced players who love the game and want to get better. Campers have typically played in a competitive winter league or school ball and desire to advance their skills during the summer months. These camps have a great combination of intensity, high expectations, healthy competition and laughter. Basketball was meant to be fun!

SAMPLE SCHEDULE
9:00 - 9:20            Warm Up and Life Lesson for the Day
9:20 - 10:00           Ball Handling Session, Shooting Work Out or
                            Attack the Basket
10:00 - 12:00         Fundamental Skill Development & Position Play
                            &Strength Conditioning Training
                           (Camp divided into age and skill levels)
12:00 - 1:00           Lunch (on own or $6 daily)
1:00 - 1:30             Warm up & competitions
1:30 - 3:30             Game Schedule (3 on 3; 5 on 5, or Battleball)
3:45 - 4:00             Wrap up & Life Lesson

Each day at Higher Hoops campers will work on their own shooting workout with improvement areas of emphasis. All campers will walk away with a complete set of ball handling skills to incorporate into their improvement plan. We believe basketball need game time and competition so each day there is amble time to games, tournaments and fun competitions. It is not designed however, to allow bad habits to continue, but rather, to reinforce the new habits we are teaching them each day.

Shooting – Higher Hoops is known for its outstanding ability to teach the art and skill of shooting. Precision repetition focused on technique creates confidence and accuracy. Every player will take game speed shots each day. Each camper will leave with a specific shooting work out designed for their level. Each athlete receives video analysis of their shot during camp.

Games – Each afternoon we play games. Divide into teams and go at it. Different games and competitions wrap up each day. Fifty percent of our time is devoted to game application and game situations.

Life Lessons -- Each day athletes will receive a motivational talk dealing with one of Higher Hoops 12 Life Lessons. Character Development is as important as skill development to Higher Hoops. Campers may also be encouraged to do different homework assignments dealing with the daily life lessons.

JUNIOR CAMP / July 7-10

Higher Hoops Junior Camp is for beginning players who want to learn the game right and have a blast doing it. This ½ day camp is for coed campers ages 8-10 years old. Camp will work on the fundamentals of the game, ball handling, shooting, 3 on 3 competitions, playing team basketball – Our goal is help these campers learn the game. Each day will include character building life lessons and all campers receive a Higher Hoops camp shirt. Some 10 year old campers who have played several years may want to consider the Advanced Camp.

POINT & POST CAMP / July 14-17

This camp is designed around two specific positions in the game of basketball. Players will work half day on specific point and post play and work on game application in afternoon games and competitions. Camp size is limited to 55 players.

Camps require a $50 NON REFUNDABLE fee to hold registration.
All camps require registration 20 days prior to camp.

All-day campers (ages 10-16) can bring their own lunch or Higher Hoops will provide one for $6.00 per day.
